A simpler upload experience

The knowledge upload dialog is clean and quick: you see exactly where your documents are going before you upload, and you can add several files in one go.

How to upload documents

Step 1: Open Knowledge

From the sidebar, go to Knowledge.

Step 2: Click Upload document

The upload dialog opens with a two-column layout — file picker on one side, destination on the other.

Step 3: Pick the destination

Choose where the documents should land, and pick a category. Available destinations depend on your role and the project.

Step 4: Add your files

Drag and drop your files into the upload area, or click to browse. You can add up to 10 files at a time, and you can keep adding to your selection before you upload — each drop is added to what you already picked rather than replacing it. Then confirm to upload.

💡 Tip: The category you choose applies to every file in the upload. If some of your documents need different categories, upload them in separate batches.

Good to know

Nothing is dropped quietly. If you add the same file twice, or go over the 10-file limit, Boldstream tells you which files it skipped — so what you see uploaded is what actually uploaded.

If one file fails, you don't lose the rest. Files that uploaded successfully are saved, and the dialog stays open holding just the ones that failed, so you can try those again without starting over.

What's next?

Your documents appear in the knowledge list right away and are searchable across your chats and agents.
