How to Upload Files Into BoldLayer Prompts for More Relevant Outputs

Written by Josie Piehl

You can now upload files into BoldLayer and attach them to a prompt as Knowledge. This lets BoldLayer reference your client docs, briefs, or brand guidelines so outputs are tailored to the task and client context.

Benefits:

  • More personalized responses.

  • Faster from brief to draft.

  • More consistent client voice.

Setups

1. Open Admin Dashboard

Go to `Admin Dashboard → Prompt Management`.

2. Create or select a prompt

Click Add Prompt to create a new prompt or open an existing one.

3. Add knowledge

In the prompt builder, go to Add Knowledge and click the area that says “drag and drop documents here” or click Browse.

4. Upload your files

Select your relevant documents and wait for the upload to finish.

5. Save

Click Create Prompt (or save changes) to attach the files. Confirm your files appear under Knowledge for the prompt.

💡 Tip: Use clear file names (Client-BrandGuide-2025.pdf) and upload only final, approved documents to keep outputs consistent.

You should now be able to:

Attach client documents to a prompt so BoldLayer tailors responses to your specific task and client context.

By attaching client-approved documents as Knowledge, the team gets higher-relevance outputs on the first pass, reduces editing cycles, and maintains brand and messaging consistency across deliverables.
