Data & Analytics in Boldstream

Boldstream can pull your brand's numbers and answer questions about them in plain English. A few simple habits get you sharper, more trustworthy answers every time.

Ask in plain language

Ask for what you want the way you'd ask a colleague — name the metric, the time period, and any breakdown:

  • "How many new sign-ups did we get in May, split by product?"

  • "Show brand mentions over the last 90 days."

The more specific you are about the period and the breakdown, the sharper the answer.

Ask it to show its working

Want to be sure of a figure? Ask "show me how you got that" or "include the query you ran." Boldstream lays out exactly what it pulled and how — so you can trust the number, not just take it on faith.

Stick to complete periods

For clean comparisons, ask for completed months or weeks (for example, "completed months only"). That keeps a half-finished period from being mixed in with full ones.

It tells you when data is missing

If something isn't in your connected data, Boldstream says so plainly rather than guessing or filling the gap. So if it flags that a figure or period isn't available, that's the honest picture — never an invented number.

💡 Tip: For the definition of any metric you see, check the Glossary.
