Get a Professional, on-brand presentation

Quick vs Professional presentations — what each gives you, how long they take, and when to use which.

Boldstream can put a presentation together quickly — or take a little longer to build a Professional, on-brand one that follows your brand. Here's the difference, and when to use each.

Presentation Detail Preference and Presentation Format controls on your Account page

Quick vs Professional

Your Presentation Detail Preference (on your Account → Preferences page) has two levels:

  • Quick (~5 mins) — Standard Quality — a fast, lightweight presentation. Clean and clear, and ready in around 5 minutes. Best when you want something to react to quickly, or for internal and working drafts.

  • Professional (~20 mins) — Good Quality — a fuller, more polished presentation that follows your brand: your colours, fonts and styling (when your brand is set up in Brand Hub). It takes around 20 minutes because it's built against your brand. Best for anything client-facing or final.

What each looks like

Here's the same kind of slide built each way (illustrative examples):

Quick — fast, clean and clear:

Professional — polished, and styled to your brand's own colours, fonts and layout:

How long each takes

  • Quick — typically around 5 minutes.

  • Professional — typically around 20 minutes, as it builds the on-brand version.

Exact timing varies with the length and complexity of the presentation.

If you haven't set a preference

Left on No preference, Boldstream asks you once when you request a presentation — a quick choice between Quick and Professional, plus your file format (PowerPoint or PDF) in the same step. Asking for a "quick" or a "professional"/"on-brand" presentation skips the question and does exactly that. On automated or scheduled runs it stays Quick and leaves a one-click Create the Professional version option, so nothing's ever locked to the basic version.

💡 Tip: Set your defaults once on the Preferences page so you don't have to choose every time — see Set your presentation format and detail level.
