Quick vs Professional presentations: side-by-side examples

The same presentation built both ways - a fast Quick deck and a fully on-brand Professional one - with real example slides and when to use each.

Written by Kaela Power

Boldstream can build a presentation two ways: a fast Quick version, or a fully designed, on-brand Professional one. Here's the same five-slide pitch built both ways, on a sample brand, so the difference is easy to see.

Quick - fast and clean

Assembled in a couple of minutes. Clear, consistent slides with a generated image per point. Great for first drafts, internal updates and getting something to react to quickly. It uses a lighter template, so it carries less of your brand identity.

Professional - fully on-brand

Takes a little longer because it rebuilds from your live brand: your slide master, imagery, type and palette (set up in Brand Hub). Designed layouts, real hierarchy and an editable result. This is the one for anything client-facing or final.

How they compare

  • Speed Quick is the fastest option; Professional takes a little longer because it's building a fully on-brand version.

  • Staying within guidelines - Quick uses a lighter template; Professional pulls directly from your live brand kit, so colours, fonts, logo and imagery come through automatically.

  • Design - Quick keeps things clean and consistent; Professional goes further with designed layouts, brand motifs and real visual hierarchy.

  • Imagery - Quick uses a generated image per point; Professional uses your brand photography and designed elements.

  • Output - Both export to PowerPoint and PDF, and both stay editable

When to use each

Quick is great for speed, volume, first drafts and internal work. Professional is the one for client facing decks, pitches and anything that needs to look fully on-brand.

💡 Good to know: Professional is only as on-brand as your Brand Hub setup, so keep your brand details current. If a Quick deck looks generic, it's usually because it didn't have your brand to build from.
