This article sets out Boldstream's position on the use of personal data — sometimes called personally identifiable information (PII) — within the platform.
Boldstream is not designed for processing personal data
Boldstream is a marketing intelligence and content platform. It is not designed, intended, or recommended for the collection, storage, or processing of personal data as defined under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Personal data includes any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual — for example names, email addresses, phone numbers, IP addresses, location data, or any combination of details that could identify a person.
We strongly advise against entering personal data into Boldstream chats, prompts, file uploads, knowledge bases, or any other input field on the platform.
Your responsibilities
If you choose to input personal data into Boldstream, you do so at your own risk and on the basis that:
You are the data controller (or have authority from the data controller) for that personal data.
You have a lawful basis under UK GDPR Article 6 (and, where applicable, Article 9 for special category data) for any processing that takes place.
You have provided appropriate privacy notices to the individuals whose data you input.
You are responsible for complying with all applicable data protection legislation, including but not limited to the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Boldstream does not accept responsibility or liability for personal data entered into the platform by users. Any decision to input personal data is yours, and compliance with data protection law remains your obligation.
What you should do
Before using any personal data in connection with Boldstream, we recommend that you:
Consult your organisation's data protection officer or legal team.
Review your organisation's privacy policies and data processing agreements.
Carry out a data protection impact assessment (DPIA) if the processing is likely to result in a high risk to individuals.
